Beyond the Week: Reconciliation in Action

This 1.5-hour professional learning session created by Grounded in Country invites educators to explore what it truly means to be All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026.

The 2026 theme, All In, is a call for every Australian to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation, not just during one week, but every day. Running between the anniversary of the 1967 Australian referendum and the Mabo v Queensland (No 2), National Reconciliation Week reminds us that progress requires action, responsibility, and collective commitment.

Presented by Baihe Butcher from Grounded in Country, this session supports schools to move beyond symbolic activities and towards practical, culturally responsive strategies that can be embedded across classrooms and whole-school practice.

Participants will deepen their understanding of the historical significance of National Reconciliation Week and explore what being “All In” looks like in real school contexts, from lesson design to leadership decisions.
