Within archives of Elder Cliff Humphries (1910-1998) can be found the largest collection of Noongar anatomical terms from a single source. His collection showcases the depth of Noongar scientific knowledge embedded in the ancient language. It formed part of his body of work presented in the Bennell v. State of Western Australia securing native title for the Noongar nation in 2006.

This book contains Elder Humphries’ collection of anatomical terms together with a link to an archival interview, recorded at his home in Kellerberrin, enabling readers to learn the correct pronunciations form the Elder himself.
